We've been many places in the US and are finally deciding to move to Williamsburg VA. We find the winters mild and the Summers have many more sunny days than NY! It has 4 seasons and they are all sort of moderate. Summer is a bit hotter than NY but it is longer so more sunshine! It's only 45 to 55 minutes to Virginia Beach also. It is smack right in the middle of all of the Eastern coast line also. Washington DC isn't too far if you like museums and lots of entertainment and great reataurants . Williamsburg itself has plenty with the Historical area, Busch Garden and
tons of Outlet Shopping. We can't wait to move.

The Bay Area or Sacramento Area if you discard the US territories and are only talking on the states: Why? Haven't been in the area ever, but for what I've seen, it's the best place in the US. I've been all over the east and I don't like it- way too flat, the same all over and over, etc. The Bay Area seems to offer a lot to do in a great climate that does not go too cold, is close to the ocean, has mountains, and is very diversified. Now if you include the territories then by all means Puerto Rico. Nothing beats it- tropical, beaches, oceans, big enough to have a lot of things to do- caves, bath in rivers by the mountains, desert, great beaches, splendid scenic views. El Yunque... what a fabulous view of the Atlantic Ocean... not even California beats it, since it is not tropical.

I honestly don't know. I have been thinking about moving for some time now but I can't seem to figure out where to move. I want to escape New York winters and go some place where the temperature doesn't ever fall below 30 degrees.

Seattle is beautiful, but the traffic is dreadful! Everything is too expensive here, and there's too many people.
