so your average mark needs to be >55
let x be your final trimester mark

you need (59+80+x)/3 > 55
59+80+x > 55*3 = 165
x > 165 -59 -80 =26
You need to get higher than 26 to pass

note: if you get 100% you'll get an average of 80% so you can still get a distinction if you try

The fact that you need to ask us this math problem makes me want to say YES, but the sad answer is no. Why can't you get lower than a 55? Why should somebody that gets a zero still get credit for a 55?

(59 + 80 + 55)/3 = 64.67%
or
(59 + 80 + 0)/3 = 46.33%

according to possibilities. its too low. if u got an 80 on math . then u cannot fail . cuz ur information is still in ur mind;however, u should do extra work though. math is really a cool subject, its helps u to reason and calculate and think critically. itsnot a humdrum work.

if u studied hard, u should pass.
u cant tell from past marks if u passed or not, its ur CURRENT effort that u have put in it that count.

i know coz i used to top sometimes and fail sometimes,, in maths.. so relax.
