There are a few folders in one of my briefcases that refuse to be deleted. At all. It'll keep telling me "this file is being used by another person or program" but I have not a single program using it.

I can personally open up the folder, delete everything inside just fine, but the folder still won't delete.

I can't rename it, and it's just a useless folder bothering me for the longest time. I tried restarting and everything, but with no avail.

Can someone help me out on this?

I have this same problem all the time. sometimes explorer.exe (windows's file managment system) tries to calculate and display thumbnails or file info like file sizes and stuff. It takes a while and while its doing that I can't delete that file.

There are 2 issues i might try. make confident the document isn't open in PhotoShop or the different application. marvelous click the document and choose rename. upload a letter or selection to the document call. Hit enter. If it facilitates you to rename it, marvelous click the document and choose delete. If that doesn't artwork, do right here. Restart your laptop. as quickly because of the fact the laptop gets to the black startup show screen commence tapping the F8 key lower back and lower back (on the very suitable of your keyboard). A menu will arise providing you with startup ideas. % risk-free mode and hit enter. as quickly as booted up you may effectively delete the document.

right click the folder
click properties
check hidden
