there are many ways to approach this problem... depends actually... is it sports or academic? lets just make it general...
first let both cool off...as in take a team break so that the posion doesnt spread to the innocent! talk abt stuff over coffee (remember this is a break! so dont talk about ur team's project or anything to do with the team's goals for that matter!)
then get back to work... slowly let the 2 ppl work it out so that they realise that their co-habitance is a neccesity for the team's success and that each member is as important as d one next to them (excluding the captain i guess! haha but never say this!!! im assuming you are captain). THIS is a team... not a solo-show... if what you do does not work out... you have to confront them head-on to resolve the conflict once and for all...
if all else fails... u probably have to make a decision and kick both out of the team! (BOTH not ONE!!!)

Give them the option of settling their differences and getting the team back to a proper unit or suggest that one of them, the one that you adjudge to be the offending person, will have to be replaced. Put a short time limit for the first part and deal with the second part as soon as a it is necessary.

I'd talk to them, and tell them that they don't need to like each other, but they need to be able to work together for the sake of the team. If the team's performance suffers, everyone's job could be at risk. It's time to let go of personal differences and be professional.
Good luck!

suggest a informal meeting to sit down and discuss how the relationship can be improved (or ask a manager to arrange) maybe that there are just some cross wires and by letting them both air their veiws a solution (or understanding) can be agreed. Its not always possible for a whole team to get on, but if they understand each others limits/feelings it may improve

Is this from a textbook or something? I could swear I've seen this exact same question before.
The correct answer, by the way, is to tell them to stop behaving like children or seek some other employment. The textbook answer is surely something else though.

i'lld tell them straight out that what they are doing is ruining everything. If i wouldn't tell them, then they wouldn't be the only ones to loose out, i'lld also loose out and regret afterwards, mmmh, regret feels really awful. Trying to keep friendship by not telling these guys to solve their differences and not to bring their private activities at work would not be the right thing to do, i'lld call it a coward action.
Go for it, tell them>><<

I would talk to them seperately about what their feelings are towards one another. I would thereby gain some insight into the reasons for their mutual animosity and finally I would suggest a way to resolve it when they are seperate and finally when they are together (without breaking any confidentiality I had promised them).

Be very honest with them- if they care about the team they'll improve their behaviour- if not they're not the right people in that team.
Good Luck.

sit them down with your self mediating and try to thrash out what the upset is and thencome to an understanding
it should be over a coffee and in a place where you arent disturbed and an informal setup

mediation
meeting with both of them and helping them see the conflict, set the boundaries and work out compromise...
if they are not willing to find a solution, fire them
