It's been proven that circumcision reduces sensitivity and pleasure during sex (since the nerves on the head always rub) and makes masturbation more difficult (in over 60%) according to various studies including new ones from a few months ago. That's just one of the few side effects and risks, you can see the studies and more here:
http://forums.govteen.com/showpost.php?p=3069995&postcount=2
Of course it's painful:
http://www.cirp.org/library/procedure/plastibell/
As far as AIDS and HIV infections go, the United States is the only advanced country that does this surgury (but our rates are falling; the circ rates are now as low as 14% in some states) and we still have the highest HIV/AIDS infections in the industrialized world. Truly sad. CIA statistics:
https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/rankorder/2155rank.html
And remember, when erect you often can't tell the difference.

Your teacher is right! Results vary with the individual and his pain threshold. Some men say it was sore for a week or so. Some say the pain is the worst they have ever experienced and goes on for months. Many report not being able to wear clothes at all for up to a week.
Here is what an actual circumcision looks like when it is done to a baby: http://www.cirp.org/library/procedure/plastibell/
You will be told not to get an erection for 3-4 weeks (just try!) to avoid tearing out the stitches.
Then you are left with a reduced penis that functions much less well. And you are stuck with being mutilated for the rest of your life!
Porn is not reality. Reality is that a penis works best when it is left whole. Take a look at some of the websites below.
Any girl is so shallow as to reject you because you are a whole man is too shallow to waste time on anyway.

No, do not get a circumcision. Do not get parts cut off your genitals.
Circumcised males have a much higher rate of sexual dysfunction. [ http://www.cirp.org/library/sex_function/ ]
A lot of the information perpetuated about it preventing diseases is false.
The study that you are less susceptible to aids if you are circumcised is flawed. Here is a discussion of the report and its methodology by "Doctors Opposing Circumcision": http://www.doctorsopposingcircumcision.org/info/HIVStatement.html . A condom is still required to prevent transmission of STI's.
Have a read through their statement. It is very informative. It shows the methodological flaws and poor conclusion in the report that the WHO has jumped upon. Everything is aptly sourced.
"The medical literature is full of protective claims for various diseases, such as sexually transmitted disease , male and female cancers, and urinary tract infection. All such claims have been disproved."[ http://www.doctorsopposingcircumcision.org/info/HIVStatement.html ]
"The United States has one of the highest rates of male circumcision and also one of the highest rates of HIV infection in the developed world, suggesting that circumcision is having exactly the opposite effect. Conversely, Finland and Japan have some of the lowest rates of circumcision and also some of the lowest rates of HIV/AIDS."
Condoms have been proven to be an effective means of combating AIDS.
The vast majority of the world(83%) is not circumcised.
There is no good reason to perform male genital mutilation.

Many guys in porn films just have their foreskins retracted so it looks circumcised but isn't. Only in US porn would they be circumcised. In European porn almost every male is intact. The USA is the last western nation still doing this to around half of its baby boys and it’s done horribly without anaesthetic based on the long-outdated belief that babies don’t feel pain.
Using surgery to mutilate the genitals instead of washing in a modern western society makes no sense. Normal intact male genitals are, if anything, easier to wash than female ones and the same substance, smegma collects in the folds of both sorts.
Since its introduction into the west as an anti-masturbation measure in the 19th century, circumcision proponents have trotted out endlessly changing justifications for the procedure, as earlier ones are disproved. Most of these proposed reasons have later been proved to be based on flawed studies but the myths continue. Even if the claims for benefit were accepted the level of any protection from disease is so low as to be easily outweighed by the risks involved in the surgery. A few babies even die each year from circumcision complications and some lose their penis from necrotic infection. More common complications of infant circumcision, like skin bridges or too much skin removed, do not show up until much later in life. So the statistics do not include them in the complication rate. (A penis with a skin bridge is much harder to clean and causes major sexual difficulties.) However even on these artificially lowered statistics all the major medical authorities in the world now say that these risks outweigh the dubious benefits of routine infant circumcision.
Adult males lose 15 square inches (40 square centimetres) of skin in circumcision, over half the skin of your penis. You lose the gliding action as it slides on itself during masturbation and sex. You will suffer bruising, perhaps some bleeding, and the swelling from the disruption to the lymph system goes on for up to six months. Removing the foreskin turns the surface of the glans from an inner mucosal membrane to outside skin. Newly circumcised adults usually go through some weeks of intense discomfort as the glans is constantly exposed to rubbing on clothing, until it develops a thicker keratin layer and becomes less sensitive. You must abstain from ALL sexual activity for an average of six weeks. Some men like the final result but others complain of loss of sensation and miss being able to slide their foreskin over the glans. Circumcised guys often have little or no movable skin left and are forced to masturbate using lube or rubbing dry, without the loose skin. There is no going back if you don’t like the result.
A new study has shown real differences in fine touch sensitivity between circumcised and intact penises and that the most sensitive parts of the intact penis are those that would be removed by circumcision.
Many women who get to interact sexually with an intact penis prefer the natural state. Don’t do this to yourself. Be proud of your whole and natural body.

circumcision is ment to be more cleaner and less pron to infections. It also help when you become old and not as intimidating if you end up in a old people home and need to be looked after, as i have worked in old people homes before and it must be had for male when a pc or nurse has to clean them.
I do know that if you get done you can not get an erection cause 1. it was be very painful and 2. cause you can tear when they have cut.
Whether circumcised or not i don't think it bothers ya sex performance.
hope this has helped.

Why would you want it. I have heard that uncircumcised penises are a lot more sensitive. No one cares what your penis looks like just as long as you know how to use it. And it will cost money. Just leave it the way it is. Not everyone looks like a porn star.

~I think you should. I find that men that have been circumcised are more appealing, the penis, that is. I don't like giving oral to one who isn't circumcised.
It's skin they cut off, not a big deal. Babies get it done all the time.
You are more apt to get an infection with the foreskin on, no matter what the other answers say.
I'm sure there is healing time involved, so If you started to get horny, it would hurt, then you wouldn't be anymore.~

you really need to talk to your doctor and parents....Yes it is going to hurt but if you really want this done they will numb the area......but why do you really want to have it done...I have been with men who were cut and not cut....I never really had a problem with either.....and most women do not as well.
