Well the first thing I was introduced to was the strange American idea of foreign food. Alot of the foods here that are supposed to represent another countries food are nothing like the food they represent. Unless of course the restaraunt is own by people who are from that country. You know what I mean.

It might be possible but Cuban nationals are pretty much restricted from traveling to the countries you mentioned because it is so difficult to gain a visa there......Schengen visas are VERY difficult to get.You are also forgetting that the Cuban government must approve 'EXIT VISAS' for its Cuban citizens therefore the paperwork is much more difficult than you may think possible as that is basically 3 visas your spouse will be required to have and 3 different reasons as well to be approved for one if you think about it.

I would treat them to a meal in my home and maybe a card game. There are two kinds of travelers, the one who wants to continue his own culture, and then you have the one who wants to absorb every bit of the new culture. I would take them to summer festivals, to the lake, fair, farmers market, theatre (live), concerts, July 4th, and baseball games. Best of luck in your new adventure!!

I think I'd ask THEM what they most wanted to see. I'd definitely introduce them to the food, take them to a movie they might want to see, heck, for the all American experience, I'd take them to the mall and Disneyland!

I would just show them around where I live.

it's often the small obscure things that stick out for people, that are really different.
