The difference is slight, only a few grams.

It’s an interesting theory, but in my opinion there haven’t been enough reliable studies done to prove this.
About 100yrs ago, there was an experiment done that this idea seems to be based on, but it doesn’t seem to be given much merit.

Personally I believe in the soul very much, and I suppose if I stop and think about it, I can see how it could have a minimal amount of weight. But then I could just as easily understand an argument for it being weightless.

So in direct answer to your question, unless you want to go purely on the basis of an experiment done 100 years ago, I would have to say that no, there doesn’t appear to be definitive proof as to the soul weighing 21 grams.

It is probably true that the body looses some weight when we die but it has nothing to do with a soul leaving. Just your last breath escaping could account for it. Also you are more than likely to wet yourself. Thats ounces of weight escaping.

I would like to know who conducted this morbid experiment if anyone.

There have been many attempts to see if the weight of a soul(if there is such a thing) could be ascertained. Despite these experiments no loss of weight was recordable at in the immediate post death period. So if there is a soul it might be weightless.

Never heard that before!! How do they know that your body loses a few grams? To know that they would have to know exactally what you weighed 1 minute before you passed, right down to those few grams. I don't think that's possible.
