When you get to the corners, fold on the miter the top in one direction and the back in the opposite direction. This helps for the bulk and makes the quilt look better to. You may hand sew this fold down if you wish.....You sew with a blind stitch, so the thread does not show and it should lie flat and look nice and finished when your done. I hope this helps!!!

My mother likes to hand-sew her bindings on, and can also watch TV in the process! I suppose after mastering it, anyone can. . . These links show you how to pin and sew mitered corners.
