David Copperfield. He once made an entire building dissapear. I admire Criss as well, but..... well, you made us choose! I also liked the work of Doug Henning, and of Sigfried and Roy.

With all due respect, Chris is a "sick" variation of David... not even close.

I personally prefer Criss, just because I like the more casual setting of his show, than David's flashiness, even though they're both amazing. Just a personal preference :)
