The reason i'm asking is because i once heard someone say that they sit in the shower, it prompted my question.

Stand. Never heard of someone sitting while taking a shower.

Normally the smaller kids and children are made to sit in the shower for fear of slipping and falling. Maybe some adults do it too. I always stand in the shower. What fun in a shower if you don't stand and enjoy it? Also how will someone clean themself thouroughly while sitting in a shower?

I Love my "Shower/Baths" when I have time I snore away sitting in the bottom on the tub with the shower running.
Total waste of water but it ends up a bath anyway so what the heck, and I don't do it often. It feels excellent, like a massage and is so relaxing, I highly recommend not judging until you try it!! But usually I don't have time so I stand and lean heavily against the wall. But I'm a water baby what can I say!!

Both actually... i have a bad neck.. sometimes just sitting and letting the hot water hit helps a lot and to stand in my shower with my neck so that it can get hit.. .well strains the rest of my back... That and when you don't have a bathtub... sittin in the shower is as close to a long soak you can get.

I stand, in our old house the shower had a seat though, was nice for shaving your legs, but if I had to sit--I'd probably fall asleep.

no I stand if I were goin to sit I would just take a bath..
I can see if u had a med condition that u had to sit while takin a shower but other than that I dont see any reason to!
