sounds nuts but has anyone really seen one, I did in 1976 shaped like a yellow football!

Absolutely. I can't say it was from outer space- could have been an experimental government thing, but I most definitely saw an illuminated football-shaped object moving horizontally above the ground in the desert of southern Cal. This happened in the late eighties when I was a little kid and everyone traveling in the vehicle with me saw the same thing. It was a little creepy, but nothing crazy happened.
To the skeptics, how can you possibly profess to know whether extraterrestrial life exists and whether they contact or at least watch us? That's idiotic to assume you do. I don't and neither do you..;)

I see them every day. I'm very far from an aviation expert or plane spotter. If I don't know what it is, to me it's an UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECT.
In your case could someone have painted a blimp yellow for some occasion? Could some researchers have let loose a brightly colored weather balloon for easy visual tracking of prevailing winds?
Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.

ive seen a classic sauser in 1997 on my way to bus to school I was early around 5:45am it hovered there for 10-15 minutes and flew off very fast behind the tree line I will never forget it

Remember clearly three occasions when i saw UFO, and identified it every time as UFO! Maybe, on other occasions, din't realise or identify the UFO as UFO!

Have you ever asked yourself why aliens would travel for several millions years to do a few anal probes? If aliens exist and came here.. it would be for a bit more meaningful reason.
