A Memorable Moment in my life -- well, there are SEVERAL ...

some involve the attainment of educational goals that I SET for myself, as well as worked hard and paid for myself -- the days that I obtained my Degrees ... both Undergraduate and Graduate ... and the Graduate end of things was while I was on Active Duty with the US Armed Forces.

Taking MY Oath of Office to Service in the US Armed Forces.

The DAY of my Retirement from Honorable Military Service

The Birth Days of my children ...

and ... most recently ...

The DAY I became an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree -- a day of great disappointment and sadness mixed with the GREAT FEELING of FREEDOM and a sense of Happiness that I waited so very long for ...

It was Sad/Disappointing, very hurtful because that day ... was the day that the Ex (From a decade and half ago) set into motion his plan and DID (with the willing help of an adult child) BURGLARIZE MY HOME once again ... (and yes, there was a LOT of damage and property stolen).

It was a THRILL Because NO MORE will I have to torment myself over the possibility of having to make a decision on the care/treatment of the Adult Child - they MADE the decision for themselves ... and although it was to REJECT the HONOR, the Service, the Giving and the RESPECT for the Law/Others ... I could now STEP BACK and LET MYSELF take care of MY SELF ... and ...

That alone (after some time of grief because of their actions rejecting an Honorable Way of life) ...

Gave me the GREATEST JOY I could imagine -- I now had the ability to ENJOY tremendously MY Newly Discovered Freedom -- the FREEDOM I EARNED through a LIFETIME of hard work, that MY Income and MY Efforts earned for me ... to sit down, to relax, to be ABLE to know that MY Pensions are going to support JUST ME .. and that I am totally able to decide what I WANT to do, where I WANT to Go .. and be able to EXPLORE The world and learn and be active the way that I NEVER Was able to (only because I WAS the COMPLETELY RESPONSIBLE ONE -- as a Long Term Single, then through a Short Disaster of a marriage, through a Horrific Divorce, and finally ... as a Long Term Single Parent).

When I gave my heart to Jesus. You would have to go to my web site to read all of it.
It was awesome. I felt the presence of God and refused to answer His call. But three days later He came again and I was happy He did. I hit the floor and gave my life to Him and I felt as if I was a different person in the same body. I never felt Love as I did that day. I even heard an angelic singing, with voices as if they were instruments. And I was a person that if you mentioned God or Jesus I sure would Punch you out. I hated God and I was not going to believe. However that day changed my life forever. I am a truth seeker now. A CHRISTIAN :-) That is my most memorable moment in my life.

For me it has to be the birth of my grandson and the thought that my daughter who was 18 at time ( still a baby herself) had him without painkillers. I am so proud of her. Having had children myself I knew the feeling of giving birth but had never seen it for myself. That all changed when my little (tho not so light lol) grandson popped out. I felt so privelaged to witness it and what made it even more special was that my daughter's mother-in-law delivered him (she is a midwife lol) so with us and my son-in-law being there was a total family affair.
Now he is 7 months old of bouncing smiling happy boy being brought up by a very proud and determined young mother (who is partially sighted too) and a father who has apserger's syndrome. Life isn't easy for them but they overcome their difficulties.

I still have a tear in my eye when I think of that day =D

I'd have to say my nephew's birth... the moment I held that little boy I changed my mind about having kids.

I lost my girlfriend because she wanted a family and I didn't.

Having him look up at me and smiling when he recognized me is something I'd love to experience with my own child.

My Bar Mitzvah.

I don't have alot of immediate family or family for that matter but who I do have, live in California(I'm in PA) so when I had my Bar Mitzvah, it was surreal to see my cousins, half sisters, aunts, uncle, ect. live in person.

So on top of having a Bar Mitzvah, it was kind of a family reunion at the same time. It was great.
