yes i have. but i learned from my past and now i guard my heart when it comes to loving someone. ive been hurt before and ive learned from it so now im very careful with who i let my guard down with.

Not any more. Been there, done that. It always amazes me that some people will do this over and over again to themselves....sort of like hitting your own hand with a hammer.
If a woman gives herself completely to a guy without a legal commitment from him - read "marriage" - she's a fool and places herself in a very vulnerable position. Yeah, sure, it works out many times. But, it's still a very risky thing to do.
On the other hand, we don't have a lot of control over our "heart". But, getting carried away, as you put it, is something we can control. And, we should.

that's an understatement !!! I fell HARD for this guy, we lived together for 5 1/2 yrs, gave him everything, my heart & sole, gave up all my friends, & practically my family, put up with all his abuse & vowed to make it work because I promised him that I would love him no matter what (except him cheating). I thought with my heart instead of my head. I must have had STUPID written on my forhead, because I got burned big time. I finally woke up & left. now all that I needed when we were together, he is trying to give me now. NOT !! do they have a program I could go to like AA, so I don't let him back into my heart? I do still love him & I don't know why.

Everyone forgets to guard their heart when in the throws of love..... thank goodness i'm in love and no need to guard mine..... our love is rock solid.
