I am more optimistic! Things will get better because as a whole the human race is evolving intellectually, and the smarter and more open the human race becomes the better things will get!

I am basically an optimistic person, however, I'm not sure how optimistic I am about the future of the human race. It just seems like everyone is out for themselves these days, people don't want to get involved and we've gotten meaner towards each other. It seems that some people have lost their understanding of how meaningful life is and think nothing of taking one by their own hands. Divorce is at 50% or higher rate and families aren't close like they used to be.It's hard to say whether things can get better or if they'll continue to get worse. I think if we focus on what's really important.... family, friends and values instead of material things, greed and control.

Pessimistic...
Individualism spreads, and so does fanatic people.
I'm telling you that fanatic people does not make the world better. Hell, they try to convert you in any way they can, and i find that very typical these days.
And not just only that, the population grows fast but the morality just sinks in.
Maybe that's way more schools are implying development of EQ, and hope some people would fall far that.
There are loving and united people out there, but the opposite out grows them.

I think to improve the future is a bit late. It's like trying to heal the world from global warming in a matter of decades..
well, perhaps if we stick together it will actually works.
But come on... we are out-numbered, and that's way even the optimistic ones turn pessimistic as well.
I wanna keep optimistic although it takes a lot.
Hey,it's the audacity of hope.
but that's why we're hoping!

I really can't say on an issue such as this:( I feel optimistic, and hopeful that the human race will learn to cope with eachother, and that war does not end war, it only brings more war. Yet on the other hand, I feel that our race has come to point where it has dug a hole to deep to crawl out of.

Everything is relative. better or worse, it is difficult to say. We witness major changes in the thinking of human minds. With every leap in knowledge man is becoming increasingly aware of the positive and the negative side . This is a good sign. Mankind will have some self regulating mechanism

I try to be an optimistic person, however, it seems that the human race will destroy itself through overpopulation and war.

You can't get a good answer to your question if you don't have an averged out response. You have your good days and your bad days. I'd give you a better answer if I was asked this queation every day for 2 weeks and averaged out my answer.
