Disagree. I don't know how you can call Tony Parker's performance in game one boring. But if you do, maybe you should watch pro wrestling. You're obviously not a basketball fan.

Disagree completely. Just the thought of the possibility that Cleveland can make this a series is reason enough that its not boring. It would be different if Cleveland had home-court advantage and lost game 1 and games 3,4, and 5 would be in San Antonio. Then it would be easy to say that this series is over and is boring. But Cleveland has the 3 games in the middle and you know how teams play differently at home and the calls usually go their way. That's what makes this interesting. It doesn't matter if the Spurs win game 2, and I think they will. But you gotta wonder how a 22 year old will play in his 1st finals appearance and how he'll respond to a loss...that's what makes me want to watch this. Lebron could do something special...maybe? And if you don't watch it and someone tells you the next day "Man did you see it? Lebron had 45 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists and the Cavs won in overtime!", then all you can say is "Damn, I missed it!!"
I'm not gonna be that person. Boring or not, this is the NBA Finals and there won't be any more b-ball for a while after this.

agree, this is a boring *** series SA will win. I thought cleveland could win at least 1 game we will see since they are down 3-0 and game 3 was one of the lowest scoring games ever they are probably going to get swept (WEST> EAST) How you cannot be a bball fan?
cause it's a boring finals seriously

1. West has been dominant for many seasons and needs a change in the way matchups are made.

2. FLOPPING this needs to be addressed cause it's ruining a game for being a good actor.

The NBA needs to address the problems and maybe people would actually watch a basketball game instead of the acting of the flop king Manu Ginobili

I agree TOTALLY. The only West team I would have liked to see in the finals is the Suns. Preferably Suns vs Nets. Then at least we'd have some fast paced, exciting basketball to watch. What do the Spurs do? Pass it inside to Duncan, the most over rated player in the league, who will flop it up and walk away with his always dumbfounded look. Either that or they pass it in and kick it out to Parker, the sneakiest player in the NBA. Oh yeah, then there's Bruce Bowen, the player you don't want guarding you because he might intentionally injure you, on purpose. The only reason to watch the finals this year is to see if he'll actually try and injure LaBron. Don't believe me? Check this video out on YouTube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZI-KaSeU2M There are more like it if you just search for Bruce Bowen. The Spurs are a bunch of dirty players, and are boring to watch. I'm just looking to next year and hope there can be some exciting basketball in the next Finals.

It's only one game. Casual viewers tend to tune in as a series goes along.

It's the Cavs! San Antonio scored a higher rating in their smaller market than Cleveland did in their larger market. And look, nationally more people watched SA v Detroit 2 years ago.

1999 Game 1 SA v NY 11.5/21
2003 Game 1 SA v NJ 6.4/11
2005 Game 1 SA v Det 8.8/15
2007 Game 1 SA v Cle 6.3/11

On top of all that
Game 1 was the highest rated *NBA game* of the season thus far.

if you're really a basketball fan then no NBA finals series is "boring." if you watch because you want to see slam dunks and three pointers you aren't a fan of basketball, you're a fan of slam dunks and three pointers. the suns, and the warriors for that matter, are exciting, but every time i watch them i cringe at the complete lack of defensive intensity. great defense to me is not boring, just as a pitcher in baseball shutting down the other team is not boring. i would rather see a pitching duel than a slugfest, but i'm a fan of baseball, not a fan of homeruns.

Disagree. I only wish I didn't have to keep answering this question. It's only boring to those who cannot understand or should I say witness greatness. Oh and I'm not talking about LeBron.

I guess if you can't appreciate solid defensive basketball and technical offense with very little showboating, then yes. The NBA plays up LeBron since the Spurs are just a solid defensive minded team.
Remember, "Offense sells tickets, Defense wins games"

The fact that it's only been one game I would say that by you asking that question your probably some frustrated fan of a team that didn't make it, probably a Suns fan. How do you know if it's boring or not when the games haven't been played. This is a stupid question.

Have you forgotten Detroit vs San Antonio a couple years ago, This time we got LBJ and so what the first game wasn't great. You gotta give it a chance
Don't forget Cleveland lost game 1 in Det and looked good, real good after that So there is still hope for these finals to be great
