Did you set Fire Fox as the default browser? If you did it will take over on some web functions.

If you want to remove it, open the control panel, then add and remove. Find the one for firefox and click to uninstall. You will still have a mozilla or firefox directory in the program directory of the hard drive, you need to delete this directory also.

I don't have problems with three different web browsers on my computers.

Everyone who's telling you to add/remove programs through the control panel is absolutely correct.
They're also correct in saying that Firefox is usually a more stable program than Internet Explorer.
I would advise you to remove the current version of Firefox, since it is probably a corrupt version. This could be because it corrupted during download or install, or it could be a bad version. If you decide to try Firefox in the future, download it from a different site than the last time.

Firefox is generally more reliable than Internet Explorer.
Check the file associations:
Open Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer), click on Tools | Folder Options | File Types. Scroll down the list to URL.
Highlight it then click on the Change button and select Internet Explorer. Click on OK twice.
If Firefox still opens when you click on a link run Virus and Spyware checks on your whole PC.

Go to the start menu,
click on Control Panel,
Click Add or Remove Programs,
Find Mozilla Firefox in the list that comes up (list should be in alphabetical order),
Select it,
and click Remove
follow any further instructions...
and that should delete the program for ya!!
Good luck!

Yeah I downloaded the same thing and it kept messing up my computer popping up with that same message before closing all my windows. When I asked one of my ct (comp. tech.) friends he told me it's just best to go ahead and delete it because it's obviously something wrong with version software which could later cause a problem with your hard drive. Since I deleted it, my computer works much better.
