I need help running Java scripts on my new Ubuntu operating system.

i did not understand by what you mean by running javascripts?

do you mean, you need java plugin for mozilla?

the most important thing, atleast that i would do after installing ubuntu is install a software that is called Automatix.

i think what you are looking for is there.

chose your version of ubuntu 7.04 i guess and dnload that file and just run it.

then you can go to plugings and there is even a programming tab that has many options with java.
