The formula for the area of a circle is
A = π r^2

a semicircle is half a circle, so we divide by 2, same as multiplying by 0.5, so we get

A = 0.5 π r ^2
A = 3.1416 * (27)^2
A = 1145ft

The answer is 1145.5713 sqare feet.

Reason:-
Area of a complete circle = π x r^2

Area of a semi circle = (π x r^2)/2

= [3.14 x (27)^2] /2

= [3.14 x 729] /2

= 2289.06 / 2

= 1145.5713 sq feet
