Yes. It literally hurts. The only good thing about your broken heart is that someday it will heal and you will bounce back higher than ever and the person who wounded you will be eating HIS heart out :)

Having a wound on your heart is the same as a strained heart, and yes you can feel it and sometimes even a doctor cannot heal the wound.

Perhaps because it is really broken. I knew a woman who could put her warm hands into my chest and wrap them around my little beating heart with the warmest of hugs and squeezes. Little did I know that she had long sharp razor like claws that sprung open and when she pulled them out along came all kinds of meat and blood. Yep, she left my heart flayed and skewered like a piece of meat over a barbecue. So if it feels broken it probably is.
