I'm a fan of the Spurs and I can honestly say they are not boring to me in the least. I'm not sure that asking us as fans this question is going to make sense because how can you not feel excitement about a team that is in a dynasty period. The Spurs are winning Championships. How can you not feel excited about that. When they go out and take a team completely out of their comfort zone or make mistakes they don't do normally, it's amazing. There aren't to many teams out there that can do this. Now do they dunk funk or act like there nuts on the court. No but my gosh this is historic.

As for people like the fool below me. What do you want Duncan to do? Winning isn't enough? Duncan will never act like he's a video game or off the asphalt rim rocking or whatever it is losers like him or her want him to do.

Absolutely not. Why would *anyone* support a team they thought was boring?

Coach Pop said today regarding people thinking Spurs are boring:

"I can't make them keep watching us. Since the arrival of Tony and Manu, if you can't enjoy watching those two guys play--if you don't understand that they're as much fun to watch as other people in bigger markets--then I can't help".

"And it means you're not much of a fan and you don't understand the game anyway and you probably should tune in HBO or something".

I agree with his opinion. If someone doesn't 'get it' (why they're not boring) then do something else.

I am not a Spurs fan, but they play the game the way it is supposed to be played. Obviously, the flashy basketball that you seem to be a fan of, is not the way the championships are won.
And you should really see Parker's passes to Manu and when he cuts and penetrates, its exciting. There is nothing boring about the Spurs. They are winners. Flashy teams are not. Winning matters. I rest my case.

No, the Spurs are not boring. They play basketball the way it's supposed to be played.
And what the hell do Tim Duncan's facial expressions have to do with the way he plays? I keep hearing that and it has to be one of the dumbest complaints about anything on Y!A. Would you be happier if he played with his mouth wide open and his tongue flapping in the breeze like Jordan--or a member of Kiss?

I guess if you can't appreciate solid defensive basketball and technical offense with very little showboating, then yes. The NBA plays up LeBron since the Spurs are just a solid defensive minded team.
Remember, "Offense sells tickets, Defense wins games"

the problem is that people don't watch TEAMS PLAY anymore, they watch superstars like Kobe make remarkable plays. If you like to watch basketball teams play, and not 1 or 2 players, then the spurs are as good as it gets. maybe one day kids will emulate the spurs and learn teamwork instead of ball hogsmanship

They aren't really boring but have no really flashy player on the other hand. Funny that most ppl only think in extremes.
"Hmm, the Spurs dont have a LBJ, Wade or Kobe....they are boring!"
I actually enjoy watching them.

Not a Spurs fan but will answer anyway. Yep, they're boring as hell. But considering that they will win another championship this year, something tells me their fans will be able to deal with it.

heck no!!! Althought sometimes the competition is...i hope you are not calling YOURSELF a Spurs fan, because if you really payed attention you would see how freakishly awesome and exciting they are...the only reason that some people say that they are is because it is extremelely easy for them to beat ANY team!
