CFCs(Chloro Floro Carbons), halons and other contributory substances are commonly referred to as ozone-depleting substances (ODS).
Chlorofluorocarbons (CFC) are haloalkanes with both chlorine and fluorine. They were formerly used widely in industry, for example as refrigerants, propellants, and cleaning solvents. Their use has been regularly prohibited by the Montreal Protocol, because of effects on the ozone layer (see ozone depletion). They also contribute to global warming.

The human activity is causing a lot of damage to the ozone layer. The smoke that comes from the factories and cars and other machines among the other elements contains Carbon Dioxide which destroys the ozone layer. And that's why the holes in the ozone layer are getting bigger and bigger every day

Man-made substances damage the ozone layer. It is important to recognize the sources of ozone depletion before one can fully understand the problem. There are three main contributors to the ozone problem: human activity, natural sources, and volcanic eruptions .
Human activity is by far the most prevalent and destructive source of ozone depletion, while threatening volcanic eruptions are less common. Human activity, such as the release of various compounds containing chlorine or bromine, accounts for approximately 75 to 85 percent of ozone damage. Perhaps the most evident and destructive molecule of this description is chloroflourocarbon (CFC).

Pastor Yisrayl Hawkins has taught us that the "ozone" or what the bible calls the "firmiment" is made up of living organizms. Mankind is dying mor & more each day because of our sexual sins of adultary & fornication, & these same micro organizms that r invading the bodies of humans, are also being carried up into the atmosphere where thier attaching the organiszms living in the firmiment that are keeping our world safe from the harmful effects of the suns radiation. mans sins have reached up into the heavens & there're killing the beneficial living organizms in the ozone, ( or the firmament). How are they getting up there? S.T.D.'s live in the bloodstream. S.T.D.'s kill human beings. Human beings go to the morge, where the blood is drained from the bodies & washed down into the water system to be recirulated thro the water filtration system. Now, if the LAW OF YAHWEH were obeyed concerning the bloods disposal, which is to pour it into the ground, then our problem wouldn't be quite so pronounced. However, mans ignorance is as great as his arrogance, so YAHWEH'S LAW is dismissed as unnecessary, & man does thing the way he thinks to do them. So, here we are, out there in the water as the suns beating down on the ground. Sunlight evaporates the water molecules that are carrying the harmful microbes, & up they go iinto the jet stream, to be carried far away into the upper regions of our atmosphere where they can do the damage of killing the living organizms that are protecting our earth. Man calls it freedom. I call it stupidity!!!! Let's return 2 the simpler ways of our FATHER YAHWEH!!! Question? call 325-670-9494 & ask at Abel, & that will settle the matter!!!!

Sad to say....humans are the main cause. Cars, planes, trains, boats, and factories all cause polution that can damage the ozone layer. Sad to say if things continue at this rate there might not be an ozone layer in a couple years!
