I have them red with a silver design my husband told me not to paint them completely red but i kind of want to. He said plain red would look "Ghetto"

I think red nails are fine, i don't really wear nail polish myself, but i think that color is okay...it just kinda depends on the shade. It's funny to me he would call it "Ghetto" My best friend in high school couldn't wear red polish because her parents told her only hookers wear red polish, so I always made sure I didn't wear any red polish around them (they were very weird and strict).

omg, he said they would look ghetto. come on. well i live in the ghetto, believe me i do, and hardly anyone paints their nails all red. usually designs. but all red is good, i mran i usually do, i'm all for red nails, they pop and give a nice addition to whatever it si you want to wear. so by all means try it, besides it wouldn't hurt.

I tend to agree with him. It is kind of harsh. I like the new color by Revlon. It is called Vixen. I like it quite well but I have to have shorter nails when I wear it.
Your hubby will probably like it...
This is just about the ONLY color I would wear on my nails besides plain french... I am not big on nail designs and stuff. I think it does cheapen your appearance...

Depending on the color and your personal style, your husband might be right. It's really hard to pull red off...especially during your "day" look.....nighttime and at discos are different. I would trust your husband's judgment. I take advice from my guy all the time. Not that my guy is looking inappropriately, but he's a guy, so he's noticed girls all his life. He knows what looks best on them...so I truly value his fashion advice. In the end, its your decision....but try to make a healthy compromise between you and your husband.

I know you are probably more interested in hearing what a guy thinks, but personally, I LOVE dark nail polish (for me, only on my toes...I do too much with my hands to wear nail polish on my fingernails), so red is GREAT...right now my toes are sporting black nail polish and I LOVE it (it really contrasts with how super-duper white I am, though)!!

What type of red is it...blood red..dark red
There are different shades but go with what YOU like!
You have 2 wear it not your husband!
Pick a color that brings out your complexion and compliments your skin.

mmm...I used to think red was trashy, but I found the right red, and just paint my toenails that color. (strange cause that's what I'm doing right now..)
and if you look nice, the red should just compliment that.
