We are not suppose to have dogs in the area I live and they have a rottweiler and a pickapoo. The rottweiler they take out on a leash, the pickapoo, runs into my yard barking day and night and upon my porch, etc. There is a leash law but they feel they are 'above' the law. The landlady of these places is a county attorney and just wants her money, no matter how many times I've complained to her, nothing is done. Also they know that I am a Christian and they play satanic music that literally shakes my house, I'm only about 15 foot from them. It is a divorced mother, her 2 boyfriends, her two teenage kids and their live-in's and they sell drugs. The cops know and the mother knows the cops and they won't do anything about her. They live to torment me. I have many physical problems such as diabetes, hypertension, heart problems that are all make worst with stress. My hair is literally falling out and I've been taken out of my home by ambulance several times. Any ideas? Thank you

Things I would do, get everything document photo's etc as well the written policy no dogs in this certain living area. Get hospital document that shows the stress that you have endured. Basically dot the I and cross T';s
Then present case to the courts sue landlord as well the tenants' in a joint lawsuit, that should send a message.

Unfortunately, 10 AM to 10 PM is pretty much fair game, as far as noise, but after 10 PM, you should file a noise complaint. Also, there should be a fair housing department in your city that can help, possibly finding another place in your budget, offering mediation, or providing you with a lawyer. Unfortunately, since your landlord is most likely politically connected, you might not get much police assistance, which you have already experienced.

In Los Angeles, calling a noise complaint into the police on 3 or more ocassions for the same neighbor automatically enforces an eviction. Look into the laws in your area. Usually, the police enforce things like that, because they don't want to deal with that kind of thing all the time.

I would maybe talk to your landlord and see if she might have another place available where you can work out a deal with her. She might be willing to work with you, if it means she won't have any more complaints or issues.

Also, I read your follow-up, and if they smoke near your oxygen, you might be able to get them on harrassment. That's very dangerous, and their malicious behavior would well fall under that category.

Sorry and good luck!

About the dog, there is nothing the landlady can do. Her business is with her building and tenants only.
Take it up with city hall. City hall has the power to send the bylaw officer out there(different than the cops) to deal with that issue.
The music thing, well to some people, country music is satanic....so out of your hands....it is their music and so long as they play it within the allowable bylaw times and not horrendously loud, there is nothing you can do except find a sturdier building. A suspicion of drug peddling is not drug peddling. They live to torment you. Why? Don't they have a life? Are you somebody important? Or are you only important in your own mind?
As a Christian, you do not heed the words that are written....it is not for you to judge lest you be judged.

2 boyfriends?
cool...
Maybe you could befriend the mother, gain her sympathy and respect come to a peaceful understanding.
Try, if you can, to appreciate her situation. I was a single mother, dating and parenting and being the sole bread winner is tough stuff. Call the police when the music is too loud, since it is against the law to disturb the peace, and do it consistently. Be polite if she confronts you about it.
You'll get a lot further with some sugar that you will with salsa.

A) Sounds like someone needs to maybe get a life .
B) Jealousy gets you nowhere
C) I REALLY doubt it is "satanic", as anything with feeling and beat is probably considered that to you.
D) Sounds like you created most of this by over-reacting, being a B, and thus letting them know they can get to you.
E) Move?

If there were such ordinances and laws, you could go to the law, as I really hope you know already. Sorry for your health problems - get upset over such trivial BS isn't helping.

Honestly, make their lives hell like they have made yours...call the cops ALL THE TIME!!!! Everytime that dog barks, get them for disturbing the peace or something...and get those freakin' dogs outta there...most likely they'll get sick of the cops all the time and move.

Good luck!

My mom had precisely the comparable subject. She complained approximately loud music and swearing in the backyard around the corner and the guy threatened her. She phoned the police and have been given a criminal offense selection and then phoned the council. that they had had problems with this kinfolk earlier. that they had a bypass to from the police who have been great - informed them any extra suitable complaints & they may well be charged. The Council visited and warned them that one extra grievance and that they have got been out. effect - not a peep out of them. document each time they step out of line - it is your place and theirs which you're determining to purchase and you do not would desire to positioned up with it. on no account enable them to smash out with threatening you. telephone and ***** and stick to it up with a letter each time they take the p**s. The council then has evidence to pass them. sturdy success. The louder you shout, the speedier the subject gets solved.

well if the police won't do anything about that which is really rediculous, then you should write to your senator or one of your politicians or governor or mayor. someone in a position of higher authority then police. i hope that helps. i'm so sorry about your situation. god bless you for even puting up with that at all!

Sounds familiar - I once had a neighbor put a dead frog in my mailbox. I sent her a card that said on the front "Jesus loves you" and inside it said "but everybody else thinks you're an a**hole." I didn't sign it but she called me to thank me for the card.
Hindsight says better to have not reacted to her at all. Ignore them, they thrive on reactions.
