I agree with Kenneth but had this match happened in the 80's HBK would have lost because he wasn't a main eventer. The Dragon retired too early and never got the right push in the WWE after he came back from WCW. If it happened today I think HBK would trounce The Dragon just because he still competes. It might be close but HBK would win.

Steamboat has wrestled in a lot of different matches, 1 hr. long matches, cage matches, chain matches, 2 out of 3 falls, just about every kind of match there was in his era, but if both wrestlers were in their prime, in a nuetral setting then the match would be a tough one to call, as both had very good cardio and recuperative skills. Though I like the Dragon persona, I think HBK would win in a very hard fought match. Great question.

not so debated dream match?i don't think so! haha,i'm sure u,me & other fans would luv to watch this match!
anyway,this match would be closely fought,with both great GREAT wrestlers countering each other's moves,as they are well known for countering!
Both are also high flyers,so expect highly intensed,high risk action!
Both are also abt the same in terms of talent,but Shawn Michaels would win it! HBK as the winner cause,HBK has been wrestling in many main events,all sorts of different stipulation matches,& has also won many titles,including quite a few World Titles!!! so he knows what it takes to survive this highly anticipated match! plus he does not give up easily! Steamboat on the other hand,retired too early,& have not faced the likes of Triple H,Benoit,etc....u get it...haha! but kudos to Steamboat.He's underrated,but nv complains! but his lesser main event,facing of top superstars,experience,would cost him,so HBK to win it with a Sweet Chin Music when Steamboat goes to the top rope to do his Steamboat Haul,only to feel the kick up his chin!
so there u go! great question! u deserve a star!

actual, i could placed the Punk v Joe fued merely before that, whilst they have been the two in ROH. those have been some large suits and lived up greater to Steamboat v flair than Taker/HBK did, all understand to their WM suits aside.
