Since the 2000 season Super Bowl winners all have 1 thing in common: in crunch time they can play great defense. They can run the ball (even the Colts ran the ball in the super bowl). They have smart quarterbacks (notice I didn't say great). That being said...

Top 4
1. San Diego (Could it be L.T.'s year?)
2. Dallas Cowboys (besides their offensive line and safety they're pretty solid across the board. Also one of the only NFC teams to have a winning record versus the AFC last year).
3. New England Patriots (IF the defense stays healthy and IF Laurence Maroney can make it through the season with his bad shoulder and as long as they have Tom Brady the Patriots will have a chance.
4. Jacksonville Jaguars (before you give me a thumbs down follow my reasoning: every year there is a team that suddenly turns it on and goes 9 rounds. The Jags have an elite defense and a dominant rushing game. The only thing holding them back is the passing game. Byron Leftwich hasn't been healthy for over 2 years: he is now. He's got a 2 rookie WRs that won't start the season but down the road will be great - remember the name Mike Walker. If a number 1 receiver can emerge the Jaguars will be dangerous.)

1 Patriots (Great offseason, with the potential of a big bust, I think they'll either go 7-9 or 14-2... no mediocre season for this star studded cast of heros. Either Brady/Moss will be a hit, or a big bust in ugly McNabb/Owens fashion)

2 Colts (With Manning and Harrison, victory is always likely... if they can pull off home field in the playoffs, expect another Superbowl run)

3 Steelers (Down last year, but still with the talent of the Superbowl winners of 2 years ago, expect a Patriot-like return when these talented players come back hungry... the New Offensive scheme has the potential to bust, or will make Santonio Holmes and Heath Miller the stars they can be)

I know... no NFC teams. Maybe there'd be one if you asked fo the top 7 most likely teams to win the Superbowl.

With what u said yes they will make playoffs but thats it. they will lose in the wild card.To answer who will win the super bowl is the Dallas Cowboys. They have made some good moves over the off season to strengthen there running and defense. Who they will beat is going to be the San Diego Chargers with a heathly team they are unbeatable( only to Dallas).

Well......it's pretty obvious that the AFC will win the superbowl so I'd say the favorites are:
1. San Diego
2. New England
3. Indy

Honorable mention:
4. Baltimore
5. Kansas City

Most Likely to LOSE the SB...
1. New Orleans
2, Chicago
3. San Francisco

1. Patriots
2. Chargers
3. Ravens

That's right, all AFC teams. There is definitely a reason that the AFC has won the last 4 Super Bowls in a row, and I don't think any NFC team has a shot at winning it.

Patriots, Colts, Da Bears, Saints
Patriots- Awsome off-season work
Colts- Offence with Newly added Gonzalez and The Defence tightened up
Bears- With the addition of Greg Olsen Rex groosman will have more options down the middle and might even get Bernard Barian More long bombs. Defence keeps one getting strong
Saints- Amazing Offence with a maturing Bush and a speedster at WR Henderson. Offence slowly improving.

Colts, Bears, or 1 and 2, both came in last year as fav, and were able to wether the storm.

The Saints looked good last year but get a tougher schld this year, and won't look as good, and won't be underdogs.

NE got too many big names, this is football not baseball, nobody ever bought a Super Bowl, (think Redskins) too many big names and lack of a team.

Chargers will not be as good this year, they got a new coach, who won't play shottieball, and they won't be that good.

I can't think of a third fav, but my long shots would be Jax, and Tenn. Jax, has everything to do it, but just hasn't because of injuries to key off players.

Tenn isn't that good, but young won 3 games by his will alone last year, who knows what he could do with a full season, and what he has learned.
