Motherboards for Athlon XP usually come w/ AGP slot.
Those two games do not require sophisticated graphics card, just DX 9.0c compatibility.

You could get the ATI 9550 or the faster 9600 Pro. These cards won't stress your current power suppy. The faster/powerful cards would need a higher rated power supply.

One of the best cards out now is the 8800 GTS 320 meg
