I'm going to upgrade my graphics card, and I'm thinking about getting a PNY Verto GeForce 7600 GS 512MB DDR2 Card and I was wondering if I will be able to run most the games these days and if its HD compatible, and if so does it come with a HD cord?

The faster 7600GT would run many games better. Take note that 512Mb is not always fully utilized in games. 256Mb ddr3 will always beat 512Mb ddr2.

Nvidia 7xxx series supports extreme HD. It usually has the new 7 pin HDTV out (mini-din) where the S-video can connect directly.

To directly answer your questions; Yes you will be able to run most current games. where it will lack functionality is in the new generation of Direct X 10 games in windows vista. Only the Geforce 8 series host Direct X 10 Shader API's.

For your second question, is it HD compatible, the answer is yes. The kinds of video out options available will depend on the manufacturer of that card. Check the specs on PNY's website just to be sure.

HD capable yes - but probably doesn't come with the cables... and yes it will run today's game... perhaps not at the absolute highest quality settings, but at a good quality and a good frame rate
