Codeine does make me tired as well.
But the hunger pains are very extreme.

I have heard this reported on the hospital unit I work on. When taking codeine some people have a stimulation of the areas of the brain similar to those associated with the "munchies" one would get when using marijuana. Have a snack, then snooze. Hope you feel better.

I thought codiene was supposed to stop mild cough and put you to sleep, not make you hungry, maybe its a common side affect, or maybe when ever you take the medicine your jsut randomly hungry :P
