"The responsibility of protecting the viewer from objectional material on TV is that of the company, not of the viewer".

TV channels warn you when there is objectional material on. Its in the TV guide, the show has a rating, and you can block the channel if you want. After these warnings and precautions, why is it the TV channels' fault that you saw objectional material?

Actually, for some pocket change, you can go and buy a newspaper with a TV guide in it. It will tell you what programs are on, and you can find out thier ratings.

And you can use a V-chip to block channels. Directions are in your TV manual, and online.

I feel it is the network's responsibility to inform you of the content of the program. From there parents must choose the content they want for themselves and their children. Keeping blame on networks and movie studios and taking blame away from parents is just a means to allow them to be lazy.

Because in todays age of kids home till Parents get off work...parents can't block said material because they don't see the warnings the Kids do...so..The TV is not protecting the rights of all people just the ones able to read the warnings....

It really is not the channel's fault. But some people and unscrupulous people will sue over anything. They refuse to take responsibility for their own actions.

Because people have lost the ability to make their own decisions, and if they make the wrong decision, they want to blame somebody else because of they were either hurt or offended.
