I've used Clomid many times and also used Ovulation Predictor Tests and had no problem with them. Now, if you are talking about the ovulation monitor strips--the kind you put in the little computer and it reads the strip for you, then no, it won't work because of the clomid. But the regular kind you buy and pee on and see what color the lines are is just fine. Clearblue easy is my fav brand.

Here is some advice about using clomid and OPKs. It is important to time it right or you may get a false reading:

"Clomid (Serophene/clomiphene citrate) can cause a false positive in OPKs if taken too soon after finishing the prescription. According to most of the manufacturers you should wait at least 3 days before using an OPK. If you take Clomid days 3-7 you can begin testing on day 10. If you take it 5-9, you should wait until day 12."

Clomid did make me ovulate on schedule, and OPKs helped me pinpoint during natural cycles when I was ovulating, but neither worked for me (as far as getting pregnant). But it does work for many people, and I hope you are one it helps. Good luck!

I conceived on my third round (month) of Clomid coupled with at-home HCG injections...

The specialist I was seeing at the time "didn't believe" in using the OPK's (or ovulation predictor kit? that is what you mean by "fertility monitor test sticks", right?) because using the injections of HCG sort of took care of that.... The HCG forced ovulation... so I knew when I was ovulating based on that rather than guessing with the sticks.... It was kinda nice in a way... but the at-home injection thing kinda freaked me out.... lol I remember thinking, "Isn't there anyone a little more qualified that could be doing this...?" :)

Best of luck to you!

Ovulation exams will artwork at age 40 3, or a minimum of they assist you comprehend once you're ovulating, the subject to subject approximately is egg high quality, it is considerably reducing after age 40. you have known sessions each month, yet while the eggs are of destructive high quality, you will no longer conceive. there is extremely desire for you even regardless of the undeniable fact that it's time to take drastic action. Time isn't on your part ultimate now, so no count in case you began a clean job or no longer you will could desire to make TTC (with scientific help) a concern. A fertlity visual exhibit unit won't do something which you haven't any longer been doing already with the try sticks, and clomid offered on line is in many situations no longer something yet a placebo. My suggestion is to get an appointment with a reproductive endocrinologist right this moment. he or she will start up the exams to verify what path of action you will could desire to take. My wager is that IVF would be your ideal decision, it is horrifying, i comprehend. I even have achieved 3 IVFs and that they in many situations worked pleased with my artwork time table. i think of i could desire to have in common terms had to omit a million day of artwork each time i attempted. i'm hoping all of it works out for you.
