Neither. If there's a scary noise, I run. Don't wait for it to eat you. Don't make it do less work by moving closer.

It depends. If I am walking outside late at night and I hear something in the bushes, I am not going to check it out. But if I am in my house and I hear something then I am going to figure out what made that noise before whatever it was that made the noise gets any closer to me without me knowing! I love the adrenaline rush!

You know what's the worst...when you are sleeping and something in your shower falls and wakes you up. That has happened many times to me and I run around the house looking for what made the noise and it is usually a bar of soap.

But seriously, if you think there is someone in your house, call the police and go to your neighbors. Personally, I would confront it asap, but that is my day job (Fed Agent), and I am used to walking around dark buildings looking for people. I guess you could also wait for the thing, whatever it is, to come to you. It all depends on the situation though. Just be careful.

Depends on the type of noise, is it a thump or a growl? Hissing or footsteps coming up the stairs? Your mother-in-law or your kids music? lol ;)

It depends, if it's at my house, I go investigate or wake my husband up to check. If it's somewhere else, I leave if I can and it freaks me enough! I hate to be scared!

Face it. Curiosity would kill me more than a monster would. Besides, I'd be too freaked out to sleep if I didnt know what it was.
