Mountains and creeks, you're a lucky lady. Im a city boy with a heart of country. I have to drive 3 hours to get to the boones. But then i have a lake and rivers and all the stuff life is made for.

I don't I live in the big city...near DC....but I forget where I live sometimes as I am in the woods and my house backs up to a creek which I love to listen to at night when i go to sleep...I also have a little place in the mountains which sounds much like your place, so I think I get the best of both worlds!!

I had a 10-acre ranch in the mountains right next to where The Last Starfighter was filmed (which is also where many westerns and desert movies are filmed) and now I own a couple of acres on top of the mountains outside of Tehachapi, CA. I feel the same as you; wouldn't ever want to live right in town again.

You are lucky, there aren't to many boonies left. I moved to Florence, SC, not the boonies, but a lot of nice people!

Well, with the phone, internet, cell phones, blackberries, and the all important television, no one today truly lives in the boonies. Your connected to everything today, where ever you are.
