I think white people have to accept this one simple fact: You can say the word all you want, but you have no control over how people take it.
I am black, and I get your point. There are so many rap songs out there where the n-word is said loud and proud 50 or 60 times. So what, if two kids one white and one black are singing along to a rap song the white kid has to be slient when ever the n-word comes up, that seems really silly. But sadly that's life.
A friend of mine was explaining the real historical meanings behind the word and how in the past it had nothing to do with race so it should be okay to say. Another friend buys into the whole "-gga" vs. "-gger" use of the word say -gga is okay. Both have valid points but if two white guys go walking down south central LA or Red Hook Brooklyn shouting the N-word I don't think people are going to care about history listens or phonics.
If stopping the use of the n-word would stop people from being racist by even 10% I would be the first yay vote on that bill, but it is just a word, some people who use it are hardcore racist and some are not, but the word isn't what makes them a racist. But my white friends I am in the minority in this view and you just have to learn to deal with the way things are.
I agree with White people that it is unfair, but as a black person I learned ages ago that life is unfair.

I had a Jewish friend. SHe complained that antisemetic Joke was being repeated through out the work place. No one believed here. I found a hard copy of a racist joke and gave the copy to here. It was printed by a Jewish boss, but was in the possession by some onethat was not a Jew. She went balastic, but The Union refuse to do anything because the originator was Jewish. She told me that If it's your own race, your exempt. The problem was that these jokes was passed on to non Jews and it made a hostile work place for my friend. Besides, she told me hew was a self hating Jew, and hated her , because she's "too Jewish". I agree he was racist and has serious self esteem problem, because of how he treated other races. As to your problem, A lot of African Americans are mad at wrappers because of the use of certain words. These words conjure stereotypes, that they do not want the youth to mimic. I agree its worse if I use it, but its bad if anyone use it. I wouldn't call it racism, but It's still not appropriate.

You can look at the guy above me to see what the real problem is. Look at the way he is lecturing everyone else on racism like he knows best, and for him saying that life is not fair he should be prepared for that to come back to him because the advantages that his race take for granted will not last forever i.e. affirmative action. It's that black people in their mind are the foremost experts on racism and that they consider themselves to be the most persecuted people on the planet. They fail to look at how the native americans have treated which is by far the worst of anyone here in north and south america (they had their land taken from them and were almost killed off completely), they don't look at how the chinese were treated when they came here (they were killed sometimes directly and sometimes indirectly by being worked to death on the railroads), so just looking at those two cases they have had things just as bad or worse in the case of the indians. But with the chinese they have gotten past it and became successful and you don't hear them railing about what happened when they got here. Black people always say it's racism when things don't go their way, but I hate to break the news to your race but if you were a white male things aren't going to be all rosy all the time either, because I have been paid less then others on my jobs before and I was made fun of on the playground when I was a child for being overweight and so on and so on, The point is that their race continues to hold a grudge over slavery and the aftermath of it with segregation, lynchings, and discrimination (which btw was perpetrated by the democratic party I might add to whom they hold no grudge now if you can figure that one), but they're holding grudges for things that were done by people who are either dead or very old, I myself had no part in any of this and I think that if I had been alive then I would have been an abolitionist of doing something to help them but when their race bands together and says things about my race it naturally drives you away from theirs and to your own. The only way black people are going to get past all of this is literally to put the past behind them and forgive and forget. This is why jesus tried to teach us this lesson because if you don't forgive and forget it will tear you up inside and fill you with hate which will destroy you in the end. As for the question it should never be ok for anyone to use the n word if it is offensive for a white person to use it then it should be offensive for all to use and until that day comes the word will never go away.

It is Racism Pure and Simple: In order to defame another "PERSON" in that manner one has to be a cultural atheist, with a firm belief in Darwinism and view them as non-human! It does not matter who does it and usually it is retaliatory out of a Historical hurt!
People are often racist towrads each other and it is applicable in families among lighter and darker skinned peope of color as recently featured on Tyra Banks Show.
In American History it is a known fact that Thomas Jefferson enslaved his own children by Sally Hemming. He conducted an experiment to see how long it would take for those African slaves children to become white. His answer was varied. One generation for some. Queen sophie Charlette of Germany is another example of that fact!
The N word as you call it was and is a Mispronunciation of the Word Niger, by Portugese, Spainish, English, and Dutch, slave traders designating the people of that region of present day Niger. Not all of the slaves came from that region by the way. Some were in fact Semetic.

What is stopping you from saying the "N" word except the fear of getting your A$$ kicked by a big black man. There are no laws against it. Also I think this question is more racist than one race being able to use a word another race can't
But there are still no laws. None of them were thrown in jail were they? There may be rules about what you can say or not say as related to race but there are no laws.
Don Imus is thinking about suing his former employer because they violated his freedom of speech. He is still a racist though.

Probably. The way the system runs, it must create tension between the races. That way, the elite globalists that run this country can further weaken our Republic by dividing the People against themselves.
If all Americans could only pull together as Americans, they may be able to defeat the globalists that have hijacked our government system. But the Feds just aren't going to let that happen, hence they create racial tension through the mainstream media and advertisements.

It's the exact same thing....racism. Just like not admitting a student into a school due to his color is racist. But so is admitting them because of their color. I don't understand how people do not see this.

Blacks are the most racist group of all races. Its obvious. Yes it is freedom of speech but they and their racist innuendos are the reason racism still exists today.

I agree with that. Why can't I (a white person) say the 'n' word. If blacks or anyone else can use it...i deserve to use it because of freedom of speech.
