Try Maybelline Matte Mousse. It works really well!! Trust me, I've used both liquid and powder and the mousse works best for me.

I use both because even though I like the look of just liquid foundation more, the powder sets the liquid foundation and causes it to stay in place longer without touch ups. I only use a very little bit of powder for this. I got a big jar of translucent loose powder at Clinique for around twenty bucks, and I've had it for about a year, and I'm not even half way through it yet. I go through liquid foundation really quickly though. I also put on the liquid foundation with a nylon brush, which I think makes it look great and also I don't lose any foundation because it doesn't suck it up like a sponge.

Mineral make-up such as, Jane Iredale, Bare Essentials, Sheer Cover, Physician's Formula etc. are the way to go. I've used every kind of make-up there is from liquid, creme, creme to powder and the only one I really love are the mineral make-ups. You can't get it wrong and a little covers every flaw. Believe me, once you use mineral foundation you won't won't go back to liquid or creme ever again. The first ones I mentioned are a bit expensive but Wal-Mart has Physician's Formula or Neutragena mineral foundations as does Avon that isn't expensive if money is an issue. Good Luck.

I use powder foundation, but no matter what you use you should use translucent powder to set the makeup as well as prevent shine. Without powder on top, foundation will rub off throughout the day.

I just use liquid. The BEST I have found yet is by cover girl. Its in a small hand held squirt tube thing. I bought a pad to use and it lasts for me about 2 months. Its really great coverage and great for dry skin and fair skin. It also pushes up inside the bottle as you use it. So easy come :)

if this helps,
you can put on face moisturizer or lotion
and then brush on a powder that matches your skin tone.
What i dont like very much bout foundation is that it can cause acne .
