I like pretty much any song from Metallica's cover album "Garage Inc." better than the originals except for "Turn The Page". The entire album is cover song gems.

Also: Blood, Sweat and Tears had some of the greatest covers ever. Their version of Herbie Hancock's "Maiden Voyage" is awesome and their versions of "Snow Queen" and the classic jazz tune "God Bless the Child" rule.

Catherine Wheel does the most amazing cover of Pink Floyd's "Wish you were Here." Is it better? hmmmmmm hard call. It's a freakin' amazing song regardless. And the meaning for Pink Floyd is what makes it so cool. But man oh man....... Rob Dickinson's voice is so amazing that you might even agree that it's better than the original!

There's a group that does a Sat. Night Fever for the Bee Gee's (who are too good for Napster) on "How Deep Is Your Love" and they are better than the originals. They don't even get credit. I was a tot but I loved that whole album.
