While I may not necessarily say the world revolves around the US, we are the greatest country in the world! There isn't one country you can name that enjoys the freedoms and oppurtunity, and prosperity the US has. You might argue that point by saying SWEDEN and you'd have a good point. However, Sweden's income tax is around 65%. Would you want to work in a place where you had to turn over 65% of your income to the government?

For all the hater responders and those who long for life in another country, answer this simple question......

If the US is so bad, why is it that SO MANY PEOPLE are waiting in line to get in and so many are SNEAKING IN?

I'm Canadian and proud of it. The world revolves around people's actions not the US. We are all connected and people either make a difference or make us sad that we are human and have to share the world with discusting people. The US is great, but I love Canada!

Because you, and I, LIVE in America. All of the advertising, marketing, and news is directed at you living and being in America with other Americans. Ever go to a different part of the country and notice how your area of the country is suddenly neglected like it hardly existed? Same thing, only on a much larger scale.

the society in which we are living from day to day can seem like it is the center of the universe. with the internet it makes the world seem smaller as we are able to get up to the minute news from everywhere instantly. the american culture doesn't neccesarily lend itself to respecting other cultures (political policy etc). hence the jokes about the loud rude american resented in france b/c he can't speak the language etc.

Because, when another country needs something, money, help with disasters, food or soldiers we're the ones that come to the rescue, and we have freedom, how many countries can call their leader and not have to worry about being thrown in prison? Some but not near all.

I agree. yet i do no longer think of it is area of any suggestions administration activity. it is in basic terms our international coming closer to the top. Morals are degenerating everywhere and issues are going to worsen with time. it is all pronounced in Hadith and Qur'an.

When we (the US) do things people watch to see what happens and if it works they try it too. If it fails we get poked at... We always seem to be the brunt of jokes and other things. But when something happens in the world who is there to assist??? Who is willing to send people there either to help the most or to die for them??? Ever wonder what the world would be like if we kept to ourselves???? Think about it for a moment before you start raking me over the coals....
