I vote Larry Bird.
He had something like a .500 (maybe .495) field-goal percentage, and he took a lot of field goals. He had near a .900 free-throw average for his entire career, an impressive feat especially considering how many times he went to the line. His 3-point percentage was also good, around .350.
In addition to this, he was a notoriously good clutch-shooter; many of his greatest shots came when the game was on the line and time winding down.
IMO, although Ray Allen does have more 3-point records under his belt, Bird is the best overall shooter.

Jerry West hit shots from anywhere. He also regularly took over games, and hit some of the most famous shots of all time. As the only player ever to win a Final's MVP award when his team lost- Jerry West is the example that clutch shooters still strive for today.
A clsoe second is Larry Bird, who owns final shots, and was also one of the greatest marksmen of all time.

STEVE NASH
I just checked the career stats for field goal %, 3 pt %, and FT %. Nash is 3rd on the all time free throw list, and 5th on the all-time 3 point list. No other player is in 2 out of the 3 Top 20 lists. Wally Sczerbiak was in the Top 25 on 2 of the 3 (free throws, 3s)
His FG% is 48, not bad either.

I don't have a strong opinion, but just to put Larry Bird into perspective, between his last college game and his rookie season in the NBA he broke a couple of fingers on his shooting hand and they never healed properly. He always had trouble balancing the ball in his hand after that.
As good a shooter as he was in the NBA he always said he was much better when he was in college. Kind of scary to think about...

MJ really wasn't all that great of a shooter, I;m not saying he wasn't a great player, but he got a lot of points closer to the basket.
But all round good shooting, including Fts, 3pts, and fgs, its got to be Dirk Nowitzki first, then Ray Allen.
Dirk cause, it is impossibly hard to shoot 50% for fgs, 45% for 3pts, and 90% for fts.
Ray's sweet shooter, but his fg%, and ft % just arent up to Dirk's standards...
