I recently had my r1 engine rebuilt. Before this, my turn signal lights were working just fine. But afterwards, they no longer work. My neighbor is the person that rebuilt the engine for me. He checked the fuses and those were fine. He also checked the bulbs, and those worked fine too. Does anybody know what the problem could be?

What Guardrailjim said (he's not the Top Contributor for nothing, you know).

My motorcycle had this problem, too. The problem happened when I disconnected the relay (the one that makes them blink). I bent one of the contacts putting it back together; didn't notice it. Check to see that your turn signal relay and its connections are in good shape.

A low battery might be the cause. I have the same problem on my Honda 1973 XL 350.First check your volt meter to see if its drawing too much juice on turn signal mode, then give the engine RPMs-if they come on or you see weak light...then its your battery.if you see nothing, then take a test light and trace the circut from the battery to the light bulb socket to determine by process of elimination. It might be a short some where in the wiring harness.

You'll just have to trace the power supply.
Make sure both terminals of the turn signal fuse have power.
Test for power at the turn signal relay (green/white)
Then test for power at the handle bar switch (gray).
Turn on the turn signal switch and check for power at the switch's connector (orange L & sky blue R).
Check for power at each turn signal bulb.
Make sure ground wire (green) has a connection to ground.
Purchase a shop manual.

They are disconnected either under the tank or inside the headlight wiring loom or improperly connected to the wrong wire. Also check for a good tight ground wire.
