Chuckle, I'm an engineer, you are not going to like this but: The towers were built on the cage method of beam supports,
meaning all the support beams were on the outside. When the planes hit they immediately took out 1/4 of the supports and the towers held at this point. Good design, but the flame weakened the remaining supports to the point that the remaining beams spread & allowed the floor to drop. A wood fire is also capable of heating steel to the point it will bend and those that cite jet fuel & building material as insuffecient to considerably weaken the structure are simply not using their heads. Once a floor impacted the one beneath it, that floor too dropped & a cascading effect followed. Note that the building fell from the top down & not from the bottom down as an explosively imploded building does.
I love a conspiricy story as much as anyone, but wish people would spend more time making them believable.

Son, no one is listening to the amateurs anymore on this.
The official reports are out, the engineers have spoken (you clearly haven't read them, not as an insult, but based upon your main idea), and no one is interesting in digging through and advertising all our classified national secrets to our enemies on a witch hunt.

We faced the hard questions. We will again, of course. We just need more than conspiracy theory and amateurs (like professors with no training in the field they are arguing about) to make us wish to spend our time on these things.

Ahhhh....but you see, the impact of those planes was so hard that it actually blew the fire proofing they used to spray on those steel support beams right off. You didn't see any fires? I did, amazing isn't it? Perhaps you should do a little research before making such statements. The reason so many victims were never found is that they were incinerated in the fires caused by burning jet fuel. It was like cremation with peoples ashes mixed with other debris. As I said, you won't look so ignorant if you get your facts straight first. I'm speaking as someone who suffered a loss that day.

Where'd all the smoke come from if there were no fires? Sure was a lot of smoke. Oh, and steel does not "solidify in a flash" when it is cooled, that's craziness. Like any other heavy metal, it slowly cools over long periods of time once taken away from heat.
