Jordan:
6 Finals MVPs
5 NBA MVPs
2 time Defensive Player of the Year
10 time All-NBA first Team
9 time NBA All Defensive First Team

And I could go on and on. Kobe lovers, chew on that.

First off to those that say Jordan would have been nothing without his teammates are right....except jordan MADE HIS TEAMMATES...yes its true, he made them better, more confident, and built strong trust because MJ was a great leader...he shared the ball beautifully and i dont think people give him credit for that....anyway...no one comes close to MJ..he was the star of stars... he dominated the supposed best players of the league during his tenure..HE EMBARESSED THEM... he said that biggest reason he retired those two years is because he wasnt motivated enough to play because there were NO CHALLENGES...think about that

the only way there would be a NEXT MJ is if you cloned him. MJ ruled the 1990's all by himself. He never had a rival or someone to step up to the challenge. Remember Gerald Wilkins, when he played for Cleveland? He dubbed himself the "Jordan Stopper" and, if I recall, the Cavs got swept in 1993 and MJ averaged over 32 a game. MJ is simply one of a kind and he was a joy to watch. Yeah he started off as a ball hog but he didn't have a team and he had to score to give them a chance. But then he realized that all the individual awards didn't mean **** if he can't win a title and he learned to trust his teammates and it was joy to watch him mature and be the best in the game. Every year that he played he was best player on the floor and what I loved most about him was that he played every game with something to prove. He gave 110% each time and you just don't see that from today's players. If Kobe wants to be like Mike he has to start by learning how to humble and know when and how to tear his opponents heart out. Shaq made things so much easier for Kobe but his ego got in the way. MJ had a big ego too but he knew that without Pippen he would not even have won one title. THERE WILL NEVER EVER BE ANOTHER MJ!!!!!

Except Wilt the STILT Chamberlin
why coz Chamberlain holds numerous official NBA all-time records, setting yardsticks in many scoring, rebounding and durability categories. Among others, he is the only player in NBA history to average more than 50 points in a season or score 100 points in a single game. He also won seven scoring, nine field goal percentage, and eleven rebounding titles, and once even led the league in assists.[3] Although never receiving full recognition for his feats,[4] Chamberlain had a successful career, making the NBA Finals six times, winning two NBA titles, earning four regular-season Most Valuable Player awards, one NBA Finals MVP award, and being elected into 13 All-Star games and into ten All-NBA First and Second teams.

Its hard to compare anybody to michael jordan. It'd be an insult to MJ. If he hadnt retired those 2 years between championships, his accomplishments wouldve been even greater. Scary thought.

Personally I give him

8 Finals MVPs
7 NBA MVPs
4 time Defensive Player of the Year
12 time All-NBA first Team
11 time NBA All Defensive First Team

because those two years should have been his best years. Those were supposed to be his top prime years. And you know as long as MJ was on his prime all he needed was Pippen and insert random scrubs to win a championship.

Yeah MJ was the greatest of all times. That doesnt make Bryant a bad player though. MJ casts a big shadow and if being worse than Jordan means that a player is crap then it makes every other player in the past and the present crap. Not really my kinda logics but ok.

I agree, MJ is a winner and the best. Kobe is cry baby and
a loser.

One other person that might compare to MJ is Bill Russell
11 titles. Now he had to do something right he was the starting
center, not a journey man like Horry when he got those titles.
5 MVPs, beatup on chamberlin.

He did one thing Jordan did not do, be a player coach!
Won a title as a player coach!!!, that is amazing....
