I am curious to know that if there is anyone who met a celebrity that they were nuts about found them to be not what they thought they were and were disappointed? If so please share your story. Thanks.

I am an Aussie, and over the years have met a few..
I will mention only one of them as most are Aussie personalities and probably unknown in the USA...

I am a diamond driller by trade and back in 1978 in a place called Cairns in Nth Qld, I met Lee Marvin...
He was drinking in the Marlin Bar in the Great Northern Hotel, I wandered in and of coarse we started talking as we were the only people in the bar...
I knew who he was so I tried very hard to contain my excitement and we didn't talk much about him, it was more about me and what I did etc...
Anyway after about 3 hours some other people came in and he dropped me like a hot potato..
A few more hours go by and he is as p!ssed as a parrot, started to abuse the Barmaid and basically became a very ugly person... He drank some sort of whiskey if my memory serves me correctly...
Out comes the Manager and asks him to leave, well what a performance he put on then, mind you he could hardly stand on his feet by then..
He had 3 minders or body guards whatever you wish to call them.. They then proceeded to take the very intoxicated Lee back to his Marlin Boat (I assume).. They also took with them a case of the Whiskey he was drinking...
There were no glass windows, just wooden shutters, and he was still abusing everyone as his men escorted him away and they walked him down the street...

I always liked Lee Marvin, I still do, but that just showed me that he was just like everyone else... Nothing to look up to, just an ordinary man, and an alcoholic to boot...
Love and Light.. BB.. )O(

R. Kelly.....I was about 20 maybe 21 and he visited a McDonald's in the Chicago suburb I resided in. He was very arrogant and brief with the individuals who were just happy to make his acquaintance. I thought it was even more nasty of him to be that way when he came into a very crowded public facility. What did he expect? He seemed very irritated and bothered by the fact people were approaching him.

Yes, but this cuts both ways because I've met some that I was not interested in meeting until I talked to them & found them to be well informed intelligent people that were fun to talk with.
Chuckle, I won't mention the people that disappointed me with their shallow, hedonistic, uninformed outlook on life & people in general, but interesting people were Chris Kristopherson, Sandra Bullock & Barry Sanders. I met Willie Nelson & while he was a nice enough a person, he was far from impressive. I also met GHW Bush & was very impressed with the man and his integrity... I was not impressed with his sons.

My dad met the guy that played Gomer Pyle back in the day. My dad was an X-Ray tech, and he had to attend to a UGA football player before a game. They let him run out on the field with them, and the Gomer Pyle guy pitched a fit.

David Hasselhoff had a party and every room had a
TV on with a loop of him singing or Baywatch on it. That was very strange I thought.

Yes, I went to a talk show once, and the woman was just horrible during the commercial breaks. She turned out to be a serious B***H.
