Lady bugs and I loved swan plants so I could watch the caterpillars turn into butterflies. I liked to collect the brown cicada shells that had been shed and place them around the house to scare my mother.

Pill bugs (rolly polly bugs). However, when I went on vacation to the South, I loved catching lightening bugs because I'd never seen them. It was fascinating watching them light up.

While on vacation in Florida it was fire ants..ouch
While on vacation in Tennessee it was June bugs
Here where I live in Illinois it was butterflies and lightning bugs
