Where are you right now?

Question

I'm on my deck under a clear starry night with a pine-log fire burning in my chimanea, drinking cosmopolitans and smoking cigarettes. My two German Shepard dogs are playing in the yard and comming to check on me occasionally. I can hear the frog singing in my fish pond, the crickets chirping, and once in a while I hear the call of a Great Horned Owl in the distance. I must say, I am enjoying myself. The only thing that would make it better is if my husband, who went to bed because he isn't feeling well (and says I can do nothing for him), was with me, instead of this computer, AND if my cat would ignore the dogs, and come join me on my lap.

I haven't smoked or had a drink in years, but they BOTH sound very good right now. Girl, I'm the Ring Master in my own little circus. I'm running up and down stairs putting kids back to bed. They come down one by one claiming to have ailments, or monsters under the bed, that need tending to. My husband has his nose in a book, studying something. My dog is running around trying to herd the kids. I'm ready to collapse.

I'm sitting in the games room with my German Shepherd and my Yorkie lying at my feet waiting for me to go to bed.I'm drinking milk and honey and have the ceiling fan gently blowing as it's a warm night and the only sound I can hear is my Husbands deafening snoring coming from the bedroom so the dogs have a long wait!

I am watching this dumb movie, "Van Wilder" and answer questions on Y!A. Earlier I was in the backyard helping with my family garage sale. It was fun and I got to meet some of the neighbors I haven't see in awhile. I brought the computer out in the garage and we watched movies. I found some old clothes that were too small for me but now are too big and that made me smile. You enjoy your peace and tranquility. I hope your husband feels better. Have a drink for me!

Sitting in an easy chair in the screened in deck, listening to the rain showers on the tin roof, hearing little frogs singing to one another, feet up, enjoying the refreshing taste of the nice homemade sundae I just enjoyed, answering Y!A and watching my hubby play with our wonderful little puppy, hoping that it clears off to gaze at the stars later....

In the livingroom of my apartment. My husband is on the couch watching "Ghost Hunters" on DVD. There is a sliding glass window to my right. Out the window the sky is quite grey, and there is a light mist falling from the sky. I can see the downtown Seattle skyline in the distance.

It's Sunday morning and I just had my breakfast of chocolate mint cake and a mug of warm tea. I'm hearing Toto's Africa on the radio and the sound of birds chirping, the rustling of plastic and boys playing basketball at the nearby court.

I'm waiting for my boyfriend to call me (to meet up for lunch) and I'm contemplating whether I should clean the house. :)

Fanning myself from the heat, drawing, playing games, reading, about anything you can do on a Saturday night in summer vacation when you're friends aren't hanging out with you. It's pretty nice though, nobody is bothering me and listening to the strangely quiet night (I have the 17-year cicadas).

Sounds nice. I am sitting in my family room in my lazyboy chair watching Ice Spiders on TV. It is really dark here and the bugs are out (10:40pm) but can here the tree frogs and crickets out here too. Hope you continue to enjoy your evening.
