Not for a very long time. Jo has asked for no SPOILERS to be released. She did not ask us not to speculate.

Rowling pleads for no spoilers for final Potter
Author says leaks don’t hurt sales, but they do hurt readers’ pleasure
“We’re a little under three months away, now, and the first distant rumblings of the weirdness that usually precedes a Harry Potter publication can be heard on the horizon,” Rowling wrote on her Web site Monday.
“I want the readers who have, in many instances, grown up with Harry, to embark on the last adventure they will share with him without knowing where they are they going.”
Speculation and theories are not spoilers, and therefore we are not going against Jo’s wishes.

I was going to say that people will stop talking about Harry Potter after the last movie is made, but then, did you hear they are building a Harry Potter theme park down in Florida? And so, my answer will be--never. They will never ever stop talking about the Potter books.

probably in about four years. no really. there is the 7th book coming out but then we're only on the 5th movie. the 6th is projected to come out in november of 2008 which means the seventh should come out in late 2009 or 2010. AND the harry potter amusement park opens in orlando in 2009 so... yeah.
i love harry potter and i am tired of reading the same questions too.

When they decide to look around and realize that there are plenty of excellent books more worth reading. Harry Potter was good entertainment, but it is getting on everyone's nerves now. Too much of something is never good.

I don't imagine very soon. They've had such an impact on both children and adults lives. It is a book that made people (especially children and teens) enjoy reading again.

I'd say in about another decade the questions should lessen a bit, but they will never stop.

Maybe when they realize that JK Rowling has asked them to shut up until it comes out. But then again, maybe not even then. Pax - C
