Metallica's entire St. Anger album is done with the low string at C pitch. Unfortunately, there are few "real" solos on that album
most Black Sabbath and Corrosion of Conformity, and some Alice in Chains, is at C#...so if you can tune up a half of a step, try Them Bones, by Alice in Chains
also, try the Underground in America, off of Pantera's Great Southern Trendkill album...that, and Sandblasted Skin should do the trick

also try (sorry it's only hard rock, not metal) ZZ Top's My Head's in Mississippi
those one's are definitely lower than the drop D, or even drop C# songs, of which there are many to choose from

^unfortunately, dragonforce only tunes down 1/2 step.
I'm pretty sure 99.9% of children of bodom songs are in drop c, and alexi is a pretty madhat guitarist.
