let's discuss...

do you have a locking trem, like a Floyd Rose?

if not, the string may not be repositioning exactly when it gets loosened from a dive bomb

likewise, at the nut, there needs to be locks, or at least locking tuners on the headstock, to prevent detuning on the part above the nut...

at any rate...my advice is to make sure the strings are stretched out, if they are brand new

if you dont have a floyd rose or floyd rose liscensed tremelo
then your guitar stings are going to go out with use of whammy bar
you can mess with the intonation of the guitar and that might help with the guitar from going out of tune as much but i would not recommend it unless you know what you are doing

try streching your strings that might help some

The whammy bar isn't extremely important, it's more just cool. So go with the Epiphone if you want.

Change your strings and take it easy on the bar, you dont really need it. also if you have a floyd rose, you shouldnt have it be going out of tune, if so go seee a local guitar store.

dude when you ise a whamy bar your strings get f!@#$d up. its the stretching of the strings witch caouses strings geting out of tune. also sortens teh life of teh strings with all teh retuneing and souch. unfortunetly the only thing that you can do besides the bar is to move you finger on teh fret. but it dosent sound the same. good luck

Buy high quality aftermarket strings and tuning pegs that will not turn unless you do it yourself. Tension changes in the string can cause the peg to turn slightly.

Without a locking whammy you are out of luck.

Get a guitar w/ a floyd rose or other kind of double locking tremolo, or, if you wanna, replace the hardware yourself.
