The daughter I am going shopping with is 39 and I am almost 60. Ok, so maybe I am a little pudgie here and there.....ok, so maybe those clothes are trashy.........and ok FRAN! Okay. . . .visualize your own mother wearing something from Victoria's Secret. Does not matter how old your are. . . .your daughter will always look at you like you are her mom. Better off to go with your friends. You get what you are comfortable wearing and what makes you feel good about yourself.

Maybe she just got busy Ellie. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Then again, it might have nothing to do with your age. When my mother was alive, I think I would have felt a little sick walking into Victorias Secret with her, regardless of her age. She was actually quite beautiful when she was young..

Sorry, just from what you said I think your daughter er is like mine. You are suppose to be old, not interested in clothes, having a good time etc. My daughter is 42 and I'll be 60 this month. It is a shame because I have good friends that are her age and they love me, but she just can't see beyond the fact I;m her Mother.

Victorias Secret clothes arent really classy...more like trashy. But not geared toward older or heavier women. That would be embarrassing for her. Why would you want to put her on the spot like that? That doesnt mean she dont love you but you should know that...as you should know better than to make her uncomfortable.

Honestly, I think that if you feel good in it, wear it... you are only as young as you feel... Who cares what anyone else thinks... even if they are your daughter. Be original and yourself... Happy Shopping!

12-18- shes just trying to be teenager-y and hanging out with mom is soooo not teenager-y
