I have a sunroom on my house that needs a new roof. When I pulled the drop ceiling I noticed holes in the subroofing. I will be putting down the new roof but was curious to know if I could go right over what is there or if I need to rip everything off first?

Rip off the old plywood and bring it down to the rafters. The only thing you can go over is existing shingles if there is 1 or 2 layers on there right now

It needs to come off. It is difficult if not impossible to properly and securely fasten the new roof sheathing with the deteriorated material on top of the rafters.

Certainly 1 and 2 are accurate. The best example I can give you is that "WATER finds its own way". At some point, it will find those holes, unless you redo the project from the raw stage, seal as you go, and install proper underlayment and roofing material.

First answer correct. You not want too much added weight. So, remove the old.
