You criticize the "Cons" for intolerance and oppression, even going so far as to propose these conspiracies about the "new world order" and such.....then you turn around and criticize people for believing in God......? Acting as if they are somehow inferior to you for believing something different. Do you know what intolerance means?

No, they are not criticizing certain people. They are general statements taht downplay any type of religion as neanderthal. I am more of a moderate and not overly religious but it's kinda sick to be so prejudiced.

mckenzie....I most certainly do feel the same way. And I will criticize people's views all day long. The religion thing is just too much for me. Glad to see some people on your side retained their brains. ;)

noils2....I was brought up in a middle class home, with predominantly democrat parents, although they weren't very political. We did not attend church, although I did for a little while when I was in my early teens.....why do you ask?

cassandra, you can defend yourself now, but you have been one of the ones I was talking about. and as I said, I am not very religious, so please don't try to prove your points to me, I've found them myself.

Yea, they are sure one to point fingers. They take comfort in their celebrity inspired causes and put themselves on the highest of pedestals....where they can look down of us dumb Christians and accuse some great religious leaders of spreading hate. What a bunch of talking heads....they accuse us of being brainwashed....at least my feelings are my own ....not just the latest political correct cause of the day.

I myself totally tolerate people who believe in God. How can I not? Why would I not? What on earth do you even mean?
It is not intolerance to say - hey, you know that great story where jesus says, "He who is without sin, cast the first stone?" It didn't happen. Because there is literally no appearance of that story in any of our biblical texts until after 400 C.E.
Great story, made up by a monk to further a point.
And that's just the beginning. With a little information about these texts - I was raised catholic, so we didn't read the bible, but i studied it anyway - you begin to see that there are huge discrepancies in the gospels, there is an obvious split between James (be good) and Paul (chant that you're saved), you see that in the Old Testament God apparently liked people to slaughter their neighbors and take their towns!
If you read enough myths from the Mediterranean region, you will be struck by the alarming similarities between many of the jewish/christian tales and the other myths of the region. UHOH.
If you study a bit about Moses, you learn he was actually a priest in Egypt, in a monotheistic cult. At the time of the Exodus, the pharaoh who led that cult was overthrown... HMMMMM..... And the israelites keep going back to egypt over and over..... Anyway, I digress - now, Moses's creation myth from Genesis (there are actually two, one right after the other and they don't even match) is a replica of the Egyptian creation myth, day for day, creation for creation, in exact order.
hmmmm.......
So, you learn these things and then you share them, and you shout out to other human beings, raised like you with these tales as 'the world of god' and you want to say - hey, fellow human, think about this. think about that.
it's not intolerant. and there is not a natural assumption that the person who still believes is inferior. I believe that is the feeling deep inside of the believer who realizes they are adherents to a myth, which no adult should be. And instead of accepting that about themselves, they feel attacked by people who are merely sharing information.
They (you) want to use the 'tolerance" word to make those people telling disturbing facts go away. But tolerance is not about not unsettling anyone.
Tolerance means I will step in if the govt wants to burn you at the stake and I'd appreciate it if you'd do the same for me.

Well, those far left libs critisize way too much.
And the new world order is both a lib and con ideal. they both want to bring about the new world order, if they be in control of it.
The libs would like a world in which there is no religion, and the cons want a world in which there too much religion. either way it isnt a pretty picture.
So if we remove all religion and close places of worship, doesnt that approach a control state? of no religion.
And if merge all religions into one faith, like it says in the book of revelations, isnt that a cotnrol state? of all religion?
so, whats best?

The New World Order is a thing that skinheads (neo-nazi's)invented... it's not a conspiracy theory... it's the way they think. The New World Order is a term they used to promote their ideas about white supremacy...
Liberals do not become skinheads or join the KKK... but some conservatives do... that's a fact.
I don't criticize anyone for believing in God... I do too...
But don't tell me which Church I have to go to... and don't tell me that God hates me for having gay friends... and don't tell me not to vote for healthcare for the poor because Jesus loves Bush or any crap like that!
I know what intolerance means...
And yes... I am one of those "far left crazies"....

They don't speak for me!
They see an enemy when they see a republican. I don't. I know who our enemies are.
I may oppose "cons" (silly, that), Conservatives, in certain goals, but I know they want what is best for this country, as do real democrats (not socialists using the democrat label to achieve their goals).
I'm tired of being silent while they continue their campaign. I hope you feel the same about people who do the same under the banner of "Republican".

I have been told that I am a "far left crazy", but you certainly don't know what I think or what I stand for. You are talking in generalities, too!
I can criticize because I live in a free country, that I love, and because I want to keep it FREE!!!
I don't criticize people for believing in God; I believe in God!! (But I also believe that She is Black!)
I am tolerant of others and their views, but I can't stand people who SAY they are Christians (and, therefore, should act Christ-like), and act otherwise. (I don't tell them to shut up, though; I figure they will reveal themselves for the hypocrites that they are if we just let them babble on long enough...)
No one is "inferior" to me, but, also, no one is "superior" to me. I am me--unique and wonderful!

I have never seen any ridicule of anyones belief in God. My main issue with cons is their hell bent attitude that they must force the rest of our society to conform to one and only one point of view of what is moral and what is not. For example Church and State, freedoms of speech, abortion, gay rights. I’m not saying if I am for or against any of these issues but I am VERY fearful of a group that has been waving old glory hard and high with long winded rants on freedom and democracy while in the same breath acting like hypocrites when they subjugate and belittle members of OUR fee country for asking for the same rights and privileges to live differently but peacefully with us.

Uhhhh I have never said anything about someone believing in God or not. Their religion and who they worship is their choice. Now Bush saying God told him to attack Iraq, I will criticize that simply because, if any other person in America attacked someone else and said God told them to, they would be held over for psychiatric evaluation.
Cons can point the finger and cry intolerance when they quit calling the anti-war Americans terrorists.

I'm not sure what you're talking about but if it's what I think, I believe the criticism is for being closed minded and not even considering the possibilities that you could be wrong about something. Not talking to you personally but religion is worse even then politics for people being closed minded and not open to even discussing new ideas.

Just from the first part of your question "How can you far left crazies criticize so much?"
For me that's super easy I live in town that is so republican they would vote for Hitler if he had a R next to his name.
it is easy to criticize when they control the school district and control Boro Hall. they fuss about tax and spend Democrats
when everything is controlled by Republicans.
with the Joker in the white house that too is easy to criticize.
