Are skinny jeans only for skinny girls?

why are they called "skinny" anyways? does that mean fat girls can't wear them?

Skinny jeans aren't only for skinny girls although they do look better on skinny to medium girls. Skinny jeans are not good for "fat" girls because like the name says they are skinny and very tight around the hips which is an appearance that no "fat" girl might want to show. Although on a skinny to medium girl and some heels and they are perfect!

I wouldn't say they are for skinny people only. Personally I think skinny jeans look better slim legs.
I like skinny jeans and would like to follow the trend too. But I think it is best just to wear clothes that fit you and make you look nice instead of following trend and wear clothes that make don't fit you. Some clothes might look good on other people but not on yourself.

no i dont think skinny jeans are only for skinny girls although im a little on the skinny side. i think the purpose of it is that it's tight and its the new style, like how bell bottoms used to be out. i think it looks right on almost everyone. But its looks even cuter on curvaceous girls, and on skinny girls? i think it looks TOO THIN; like sticks. So i gained a lil bit of weight on the booty and the thighs and it looks just fine, only better. =)

i have skinny jeans and they just show all the things i don't want to show everybody you know what i mean

Not sure, but I guess fat girls could wear them. I'm certainly not fat, but they look so bad on me. I think, personally, they were made for tall people with long legs.

It's all about balance. Make sure the pants fit well; Go for a solid darker wash for the most slimming effect.

Wear a longer top with the jeans to balance out the pants. Perhaps a top that flows away slightly from the body.
Wearing a heel (doesn't even have to be that high) will elongate your leg and make for a cleaner line.

theyre called skinny because instead of flaring out at the bottom, they stay close to the body creating a straight or maybe even narrowing look about the person wearing them. Anybody can wear them, they just look better on certain people

Yes, they are. They do make them in larger sizes, but they are not flattering at all on anyone but the skinniest girls. If you're not sure if you're skinny enough, you probably aren't. I know I'm not - and I'm a size 5. There are much more flattering and fashionable jeans for most people out there.
